This event is RAIN or SHINE or COLD - Never know what spring can bring in North Carolina
If it is raining or freezing, yes we are running and the event will take place. Please come prepared, you will have access to your vehicle to drop off any extra layers and keep warm/dry while waiting.
If there is thunder and/or lightning before the start a 15 min delay will take place from the last flash and/or bang. Our permits only allow for up to a 30-minute delay, if the run can not start by 8:00 am the event will be canceled and held virtually.
If there is thunder and/or lightning after the start of any distance. The event will be canceled, participants will be asked to clear the course, return to their parked vehicles, and finish the race virtually at a different time.
If the event is canceled before the start or during, you must pick up your finisher medal before leaving the event site. NO MEDALS WILL BE MAILED.
